One of the purposes of “The Time Is Now” podcast is to introduce you to people who have had great success in real estate investing. And the reason we want you to meet them is because they are people who demonstrate what it means to make the most of every minute you have to make a difference in the lives of your loved ones and in the world. So on this episode Kent introduces you to one of his friends and business partners, Justin Colby. Justin’s story is only one example of the amazing heights you can reach through real estate investing and Kent’s hope is that by getting to know what Justin has achieved you’ll believe in yourself enough to get started with your own real estate investing business.

Here’s what can happen if you’re willing to make the most of the time you have.

Justin Colby is CEO of Omni Investment Group and Phoenix Wealth Builders – and the creator and host of “The Science of Flipping” podcast. Justin has embraced the same “The Time Is Now” philosophy that Kent has and has leveraged his business to get extreme results. Justin specializes in the purchase, rehab, and flipping of distressed property in the Metro Phoenix Area. From his start in real estate in 2005 as an agent all the way to today, Justin has learned a ton about the real estate industry and his story is one that can encourage and inspire you that now is the time for YOU to get started in real estate investing.

Real estate investing was not his first gig, but it soon became his passion.

Justin Colby has been investing in real estate since 2007, which was not exactly the best time to get into real estate. That was right before the market crashed in 2008. It was at that time that the rules for real estate purchasing, lending, and investing were turned on their heads and everyone was scrambling to stay above water.  In that tumultuous time Justin stuck it out and became very successful through the school of hard knocks. But that’s not where Justin began his real estate career. He first jumped into the real estate industry as an agent, starting a real estate brokerage with a friend in 2005. But by 2007 the two of them weren’t content simply to sell houses for clients, they wanted to cash in on the benefits of buying and selling properties for themselves and moved into flipping and wholesaling in 2007.

The experience that made Kent realize that every day, the time is now.

On this episode Kent tells the story of an airplane flight that almost went down. And he was on it. So was his wife and daughter. It was one of the most frightening experiences he’s ever had, smoke billowing down the aisle, the plan going into a steep dive, the flight attendant panicking. It was one of the worst experiences of his life knowing that he and the two people he loved most in the world were about to die. But thanks to a Captain who kept his head and did what he was trained to do, Kent and his family lived to see another day. But it made Kent realize in a new way that time is the only commodity he has that is worth anything. He’s got to maximize it to its fullest every day of his life – for the sake of his family and for the sake of others.

Why are you letting stupid obstacles hold you back from doing something big?

Too often we live in fear and doubt, uncertain and unconfident about our ability to make a difference in the lives of the people we love and in the world as a whole. But Kent Clothier’s brush with death on flight enabled him to see that he’s only got one shot at life, so he wants to squeeze every drop out of it that he can. What will it take for YOU to decide that you’re going to make the most of your life while you still have the chance? Hopefully, not something terrible or life-threatening. Make the decision today to kick insecurity to the curb and make the most of the life you’ve been given, because the time is now.
