“Kent, 1-800-SELL-NOW is not a lead generation company, it’s a CLIENT generation company”
These were the words of one of our best customers to me last night on a call.
Until that moment I had not realized that just by saying “lead generation” I was lumping our company in with every other “wanna-be” lead-gen company in real estate. I have been so focused on trying to get our message out there that I may have actually hurt our chances of attracting great new customers to our service. So no more. No more mentioning “lead generation” with the brand 1-800-SELL-NOW. From now on it’s “client generation”.
Now in all fairness, “client generation” is very appropriate for what we do for our customers.
Imagine a world where as a real estate professional…..
- You did not pay for cold leads and then have to pick up the phone and call these people…..hoping to knudge them and nuture them just enough that they turn into a customer.
- You did not have to spend hours upon hours working these leads just to have them push you off for a few months while they “think about it”…..or even worse – go to your competition.
- You took calls or inquiries directly from a customer that is highly motivated and ready to do business NOW. NOT TOMORROW -THEY ARE READY TODAY.
- The customer came to you and treated you as a real estate pro whom they trust and respect to help them find a solution to selling their home. Inviting you into their home to discuss the options that you can provide for them – cash offers, short sales, listing, etc.
The last two points are why we are “client generation”. Our customers take these types of calls EVERY DAY!!
In a normal client acquisition cycle, realtors would or could take several months on average to take a lead and actually turn that lead into a client.
In our client acquisition cycle, realtors are literally taking calls with someone that could and most likely will become a client within 24 hours. We have customers that are turning 60% of their leads into clients – whether listings or investment deals.
