Affiliate marketing, Sales and Real Estate Investment

Affiliate marketing and Sales for Real Estate Investors?

 The incalculable value of sharing…

Affiliate marketing, sales and real estate; strange bedfellows maybe, but the smart real estate investor knows there’s a gold mine in sharing those real estate investment tools and systems that have facilitated success.

The biggest creator of wealth in the United States has historically been real estate. Real estate investors today have access to a number of systems that help create a competitive advantage in dealing with market trends that are not always easy to navigate.  What many don’t realize is that the opportunity to build wealth with the very systems they are using goes beyond the immediately recognizable opportunities of real estate investment; there is a truth in the old adage that paying it forward comes back in a tenfold and when affiliates share their secrets and systems with others, that philosophy goes beyond the intangible and creates real wealth when you become an independent sales affiliate of the products you believe in.

Here are some top tips for best practices in affiliate marketing and sales, which should be addressed primarily from your blog or your niche website, regardless of what product or service you are affiliated with.

  • Build trust.  Focus on building relationships and earn trust in your community.
  • Use the product yourself and know that it works.
  • Know your product or service will be good to your audience.
  • Show your own results; brag a little and show what you’ve accomplished with the use of the product or service yourself.
  • Help your audience to know as much as possible about the product.
  • Become a source of information for the product.
  • Give people multiple opportunities to click on your affiliate links throughout your articles and blog posts, as well as throughout your site.
  • Link through your images- have them link through to your affiliate link to the product page.
  • Get in contact with the owner of the product that you are selling as an affiliate. Get the owner to answer some questions or do a podcast or video interview and include high value content with maybe a small promotion at the end.
  • Get a special deal from the owner for your audience that is just for them via your affiliation.
  • Create an epic post about the product; make sure its noteworthy, sharable, high value post with good content.
  • Use multiple YouTube videos about the product and imbed the videos in your posts. Optimized your videos by imbedding information in the video content. Break videos into chapters- make them 2 or 3 minutes per video.
  • Have a webinar or live event. Combine this with sharing as much information as possible and have owner on if possible.
  • Publish a webinar replay.
  • Give away a bonus in addition to the product. For example, a special webinar with “how to”s and opportunities to ask questions. The possibilities are endless so give it some thought and get creative.
  • Indirect social media approach; Facebook, twitter, linked in,  and Google+ are all terrific social media marketing opportunities but directly promoting affiliate products is not going to get a good response; people are there to be social. Don’t directly link to the affiliate page but instead link to a blog or video with content and from there to your affiliate product page.
  • Keep track of click throughs and your conversion rates. Watch your metrics.
  • Email marketing should be an indirect email push, sometimes to the tune of three or four levels before they get to affiliate link. Link out to epic post, webinars and broadcasts- build trust and later funnel them through to your affiliate page.
  • Indirect promotion on other peoples sites
  • Always acknowledge that you are being compensated- disclosure is not only required by the law but it ties right in with your number one tip which is build and maintain trust.
  • Thank people in advance.
  • Thank people afterwards for going through your affiliate link if at all possible.
  • Remind people about the benefits not the features of the products and services. Benefits are about what is in it for them, not what it does. If you’re having trouble with that concept, think of a feature and then insert the words “so that” afterwards. For example, “Sunglasses have tinted lenses (feature) so that my eyes are protected (benefit).
  • Believe in your recommendation: if you really believe in your recommendation then so will your audience

  1. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. However just imagine if you added some great graphics or video clips
to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent
but with pics and videos, this website could certainly
be one of the very best in its niche. Excellent blog!
