We have a GREAT MOVIE recommendation for you…
So, over the weekend many members of our team watched a great movie and we want to share it with you.
The movie is I AM NOT YOUR GURU and it was released over the weekend on Netflix
It follows Tony Robbins for a week at one of his live events. I watched the movie with my wife, kids, and a few friends and we were glued to the television. The movie is truly inspiring and very well done.
A few things that we all picked up on and that I think you’ll find interesting:
- It’s INTENSE. You’ll see Tony engage people in some really intense situations and watch him flip someone’s perception and outcome in a matter of minutes. (Lesson #1 – master your craft. Watching him do this and was inspiring to say the least and very impressive. Lesson #2 – be present with your customers and clients – every step of the way. Lesson #3 – master the art of influence – it is a powerful mechanism)
- The attention to detail was really impressive. You watch as his entire organization was deeply committed to focusing on the individuals in attendance and making sure that they experienced the break-thrus that they desired. (Lesson #4 – pay attention to the details and surround yourself with people that are equally committed to delivering on your promise….your business will reward you).
- It’s emotional and very inspiring. I like it when a movie touches me and makes me reflect. This movie did a lot of that and I know it had the same effect on many members of our team.
Yes.. it’s like “virtually attending’ Tony’s Date With Destiny event and I have no doubts that this movie will be somewhat self serving for his organization.
But, who cares?
For the first time that I can ever remember, my 11-year old daughter woke up Sunday morning and asked me if we could watch the movie together again.
It’s really amazing and I can’t wait to hear your feedback.Leave a comment on my blog after you watch it.
